Psalm 18:49 “Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.”
When we think of all the places we could thank God and give praises to His name, among the heathen should be high on our list.
We are called to bring the message of Christ to the world through both our words and deeds, yet most of our thanks and praise are heard only within the church or home.
Before we get carried away, the church and the home are excellent places to honor the Lord, more praises need to happen there too.
Still, many of us could increase our praise for God in other places as well.
We should challenge ourselves often to use the same words of thanksgiving in the world that we use in the church.
If we say “praise God for His grace and provision” this week in the church, why should we then say “I’m glad things are going well” in the market?
We must be clear about our faith no matter the audience.
The heathen (those without Christ) could perhaps benefit most from our praise of God.
May many turn to Him as they see the joy and fulfillment He brings to all that believe and trust.
