Exiled Jews in Babylon needed to hear this. All Israel reading the prophet Isaiah needed to hear this. We need to hear this.

In exile or not, God’s people confront challenges that cause us to fear.

We need to be reminded that He is our God and that He can strengthen and help.

So many times He tells us not to fear. But He doesn’t leave it there. He also says that He is the One who can uphold us, because His hand always does right.

At times when we could be dismayed, He should become our focus.

Because there is no strength to be had but the strength He gives. And because there is no help in the world save for His help.

If today, we’re ready to fall. He can lift us up. We must rely upon Him.
