Psalm 5:3 “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
How many times in the Psalms and in other passages of scripture do we see an example or admonition to pray in the morning?
I know of several passages with the same theme. Experience has also taught me that prayer in the morning will set a man on the right path for the day.
We should consider all we face in 24-hours and ask ourselves why we so often don’t start by imploring the Father.
The Christian life can sometimes be so simple. In this case the instruction is only to look to the Lord when we get up, yet we neglect a terrific principle, and are so often worse off for it.
Our prayer should be that this is not the case in our lives.
If only great men and women of God would rise up in the morning and beg God to give them a profitable day in Him, perhaps our own lives and our world would be better for it.
Let us consider a commitment, like David’s, to look up in prayer every morning, and then expect great blessings for our day!
