Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.”
The Messiah, in His victorious resurrection from the dead, swallowed up death for those who trust Him.
Jesus made a way to God, a way of eternal life with Him, in His atoning sacrifice for sin.
And there will come a time for every believer when crying will be done. Suffering will be passed. The cares of this life and the troubles of sinful flesh will be behind us.
Whatever reproach and contempt that was cast upon God’s people throughout history will be taken away.
The lies will be erased by truth.
Everlasting life is a fact for His disciples. His blood washes away the sin that condemned us.
God has spoken this. No matter the powers at work today, whether our eyes and minds tell us doom is near, this is the believer’s future.
He can be trusted.
