Joshua 6:20 “So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.”
God was systematically removing the obstacles from Israel’s path.
They had some fighting to do and some promises to keep when they entered the city, but God was leading the way.
When we trust Him, follow His directions, and keep moving forward, flooded rivers and city walls don’t stop us.
We begin our journey of faith in the same way Israel began theirs, only knowing the promises of God and not the actions He will take to keep them.
He chooses to break down or give us a way over every barrier. How and when and why sometimes remain a mystery.
Our job is not to question His methods, but to trust His character.
If we do this – as Joshua and Israel did – final victory will come.
