Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”
The good news published in the next few chapters of Isaiah – about the coming Messiah – is the same good news we proclaim today.
The One sent to save Israel from their sins and to bring light to the Gentiles has now come.
At His arrival, peace was proclaimed to the world. The angels brought the message first, then the shepherds and anyone else who believed, passed it along.
These “beautiful feet” are mentioned again in our New Testament. As God’s people travel far and wide with word that God reigns and His son is the Savior.
I wonder how many mountains or valleys we have traveled to make Him known? And where we plan to take our feet and His truth next?
He is worthy of the trip, no matter the distance or difficulty. He reigns and everyone should know!
