Ecclesiastes 3:14 “I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.”
This is a tremendous passage for anyone in ministry. It should be an encouragement to us. Our own efforts will amount to nothing in light of eternity, but that which we do in the Spirit – the work of God – will have lasting effects.
We must free ourselves from sin, reject worldly thinking, and rearrange any misplaced priorities, so that we can walk according to God’s plan and see Him work. It’s possible, we may get results of some kind when we operate according to our own agenda, but lasting and true ministry is only possible in the Spirit.
We should remember that our power comes from God alone. Not being enamored by your own ability, as it will bring only temporary results that are prone to decay. Let us praise God for His radical and permanent impact on the lives of His saints. And thank Him for making us part of His plans in accomplishing that work.
