John 9:11 “He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.”
The Pharisees asked this man how his eyes were opened with the wrong motives. But his answer was simple and instructive.
Jesus had a plan, asked this man to follow his instructions – which he did – and then something miraculous happened!
We recognize this pattern. It is one we see throughout scripture and one many of us can recount from personal experience.
So often, Jesus has a plan for us. Sometimes the results will be miraculous, but we must do what He says and do so trusting Him.
These instructions were elementary. They required no great intellect or effort.
Many of our instructions are the same. And though we may be confused about His methods or unsure of the outcome, He expects us to act in faith.
When we do…who knows what may happen.
