Luke 9:16-17 “Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.”
There were five thousand men in this assembly and only five loaves and two fishes to eat. Is it too obvious to say this appears not to be enough?
Anyone observing this account with eyes of flesh would insist this is the case.
But for those who know Jesus, understanding who He is and what He can do. We offer evidence to the contrary.
Scripture tells us “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
This is the One by whom all things consist. He creates with the spoken word.
Nothing, in His hands, is too little.
I wonder if we ever think that which we offer in His service is too little. No doubt it is – but with it, He can do the miraculous.
