Psalm 84:10 “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

One of the more common tactics of the enemy is an attempt to convince us that doing evil will be better for us than doing good. This verse expresses a desire that contradicts this theory.
Dwelling in fellowship with our Lord is immeasurably better, in all ways, than attaining the highest position in the world by means of evil.
Many will choose to do wrong, in an attempt to gain possessions and stature in the world. They mistakenly believe that keeping a lower position (by worldly standards, of course), while at the same time remaining faithful to their Lord will result in dissatisfaction.
Anyone with this mindset fails to see the value of pleasing almighty God, by glorifying Him in the world. It is the greatest, most fulfilling pursuit in life – and the very highest goal of any Christian.
Let us remember the treasures of obedience, rejecting at all times the allurements of worldly gain.
