Psalm 32:1-2 “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.”
One of the most wonderful aspects of the Christian life is the peace that comes from knowing our sins are forgiven.
Old Testament Saints knew only the covering of sins by the blood of animals. They looked forward to the Messiah, who would be the final, spotless lamb washing all sin clean with His blood.
Those who put their faith in Christ can leave the guilt and shame of past transgressions behind and look forward to a future of forgiveness and cleansing.
The joy of David in this passage can be magnified by privileged New Testament believers that understand this new covenant sense of blessing.
Let us stand tall this day in the realization that Christ takes away our personal sin when we place our faith in Him!
We are blessed to be forgiven, blessed to have a new life in Christ, and blessed to have a Savior that replaced us on the cross.
