Psalm 97:10 “Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.”
The hatred of evil could do more for us than we often think. Our preservation and delivery from the wicked seem to have a direct correlation to our feelings about evil.
Those who have a resolute and heart-felt hatred for wickedness tend to avoid the traps it sets.
Others who are enamored with its allure willfully place themselves outside the boundaries of God’s preservation and delivery.
As with most aspects of the Christian life, we act in accordance with our hearts in this regard.
We must examine the sinful actions we are most likely to engage in, realizing the devastating effects they may have on our lives, and hopefully beginning to develop an almighty distaste for them.
If this distaste were to grow into a true and sincere hatred, we would have a better chance of never allowing them be a part of our lives again.
Those of us who love the Lord must hate evil and be thankful for His deliverance.
