Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

Our Savior has personal experience with the weakness of our mortal bodies.
In the scripture we read of His encounter with the enemy in the wilderness. He was tempted in the areas where we fall: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, yet He was without sin.
We understand that Christ had no sin nature, for He was not a son of Adam, yet His body (by His own will) endured the stress of mortal limits.
It was the word of God that sustained Him in this testing, though His human body was no doubt weary and weak.
He brought Himself to a place of identification with us by freely assuming our humanity.
As the God-man, the spotless lamb of God, He could not sin, but His pattern of resistance and reliance upon scripture is our pattern as well.
Let us therefore realize we are not alone when coming to Him with a request for strength to endure Satan’s schemes.
