Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
There are many warnings in this book about false teaching. And a caution just two verses earlier about sowing and reaping.
Certainly the Galatians were facing many difficult realities, spiritually. They needed these reminders.
For those that were standing strong in Bible truth and living a life of obedience, this verse appears.
Stay at it. Don’t grow weary. Remember that we reap when good seed is planted as well.
Those that were sowing in the flesh would reap corruption. But some were also sowing in the Spirit.
This Spirit-filled sowing is hard work.
God empowers and God equips, but our bodies of flesh and our minds feel the strain.
We must rely upon Christ for just enough recovery to make it through another day.
For a time of reaping is on its way. Keep sowing in the Spirit to reap life everlasting.
Embrace the sometimes tiresome walk of the disciple, knowing we’ll have an eternity to rest – praising God for His love and provision throughout.
