Genesis 1:1-2 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
God was there in the beginning, and He gave us this account.
Until He “moved” there was nothing. His intervention brought about everything.
When we examine the passage we recognize two things: He is the owner of all created and therefore we belong to Him.
If He is the creator of all, including us, then we are responsible to Him for what we do and who we are.
Unfortunately, what we are is sinful. We are sinners by birth and by choice.
This sin has separated us from our holy creator.
Thankfully, there is good news. Before even this creation took place, He had a plan.
His son would come into the world, take the punishment we should have taken, die, be buried, and raise from the dead.
He now offers salvation, which reconciles us with our creator.
