The presence of the Holy Spirit makes a monumental difference in this New Testament era.
Jesus himself promised his disciples an indwelling Comforter, just exactly like Himself, in John 14.
This person would come and dwell within those who put their faith in Christ, leading them into all truth.
People of the old covenant observed a law written on tables of stone, while our obedience comes from prompting within.
While the Spirit was also often at work within Old Testament saints, we may certainly affirm a more personal covenant today.
The written word is alive in our hearts, being enlightened by God’s own Spirit.
Let us praise God today for an internal working of God which operates in conjunction with our minds and hearts!
