Acts 2:24 “Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.”
Those who wondered whether Jesus was indeed who He said He was, should have had their doubts erased by the resurrection.
Men have no power over death in themselves; only God can overcome its grip.
Jesus affirmed He was God in innumerable ways during His life, at His death, and mostly vividly, His resurrection.
Death had no hold on Him, because of who He was.
Without Christ, we will die and be held in the chains of Hell. But by His power we can be saved, not only from sin, but from death.
Death has no sting for the believer, the grave has no victory.
The Bible says those who believe on Him have everlasting life and are passed from death unto life.
We obtain this life through the One who could not be holden of death.
Praise God for the sacrifice of His son on the cross.
It is only “in Him” that we may look forward to death-free future!
