Job 42:12-13 “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters.”
Download More than his beginning
Job’s trials are concluded with blessings from God.
No doubt the struggle taught Job, an already upright man, many things about humility and integrity.
The accusations he endured from his friends would certainly have developed his relationship skills.
And God’s words for him in the two previous chapters put many things into perspective.
Job was better equipped to receive these blessings.
We don’t look forward to the kind of afflictions Job faced. Nor do we enjoy them when they come. But they are useful.
God equips and matures through difficulty.
Even when the enemy attacks, God sustains us through the attack. And we are better – and sometimes blessed more – for having endured.
These are principles to remember for the day ahead. None of us know what it may bring.
