John 14:1-2 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
The Christian’s heart should never be troubled. Jesus can be trusted.
For those who do trust in Him, He is preparing a place.
Faith reserves our address in heaven and these reservations can never be cancelled or lost.
Jesus tells His disciples just a verse later, that He is coming back and He will receive us. His place will be our place for all eternity.
The size and shape of that home will make little difference to us. Just the fact that He has prepared it and He is there will be most important.
He has made it possible for us to enter, even though we won’t deserve to be there. The sins that would have prevented us are gone – cast into the depths of the sea.
This is our true home, our forever home. He is, even now, giving His time and attention to make it ready.
