Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
Download Removed our transgressions
This is a verse for those who have a tendency to bring the sins of the past into the present. Or for those who return to sins that have already been forgiven and cast far from us.
Think about the significance of a statement such as this one.
Those sins we have confessed and forsaken before God, thanks to the sacrifice of Christ, are gone.
We should give ourselves no grief over a past transgression that has been honestly dealt with. But we should also endeavor, by God’s grace, avoid it in the future.
This does not mean that consequences for sin are not current or forthcoming, as the law of sowing and reaping remain intact. But the peace of God’s forgiveness can even reduce even their sting.
The child of God is not held by the cords of sin. He is free from all sin, both past and present because of Jesus.
Believers are blessed indeed with true freedom, real peace of mind, and a total release from condemnation. We should praise God today for such a wonderful truth!
