Isaiah 3:10-11 “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”
In days of judgement or blessing, the principle of sowing and reaping still applies.
It is generally well with the righteous – those who follow God and obey His word. But there is reason to fear for the wicked, for that which is disagreeable and unpleasant will certainly come their way.
We read of a day of judgement in this chapter. Jerusalem is ruined and Judah is fallen, but God continues (as He always does) to deal righteously with men.
That which we sow, we shall also reap.
The very nature of our world makes this abundantly clear. Honesty and kindness tend to bring peace. While anger and hatred tend to bring conflict.
God sees all. He knows both action and motivation.
The reward of our doings – good or evil – will come. Perhaps in this world and in our time. Or in the eternity.
