Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
This passage could be paraphrased as follows: “Not intentionally skipping church, as some people do, instead show up and exhort each other, because the time is short.”
People who are spiritually mature choose to be at church, and admit that there is a difference between “can’t” go to church and “won’t” go to church.
We don’t decide whether or not to go on Sunday morning; God has already made the choice for us.
Every member of the church is vital. We have a function that God has gifted us to perform – and it is our privilege to participate.
Regular, local church attendance provides for each disciple, accountability, fellowship, and equipping for ministry.
It is a place to both exhort and to be exhorted to greater commitment and work for Christ.
We do not attend based on command alone, but rather because we are part of what He is doing and part of the body for which He died. It is where we belong.
