Psalm 25:4 “Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.”
This should perhaps be one of the most common prayers of our lives.
We should be constantly asking the Lord to show us what He would have us to do.
If we have a right heart toward God, we will have a genuine desire to know His way for our journey. This will be accompanied by a sense of confidence that He knows what is best.
We should not be confused about the method for determining His path: it is to consult His word. As we do so, walking in close relationship with Christ, we will begin to understand the next step.
Let us not deceive ourselves into believing that God has spoken in a way that contradicts scripture.
When we examine circumstances and opportunities in light of what God says, the deceptions of the enemy are often revealed.
The Lord is indeed willing to teach us His way, but we need to be willing to follow without regard for our own desires.
Let us seek His guidance, but only with a willingness to hear and follow.
Every step will be according to His word, as we walk in daily fellowship, always by faith, never by sight.
