I Peter 2:12 “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”
Download They speak against you
This verse may not have maximum impact for us, unless we have been spoken against as an evildoer.
It may be a surprise to learn that we can perfectly follow God’s principles, operating with impeccable integrity and someone could still speak against us, calling our actions evil.
This is, in fact, a common tactic of the enemy, twisting the definition of good and making those who do good appear to be in the wrong.
If we have the misfortune of experiencing this, the only thing that we can rest in, is the confident understanding that we have obeyed God.
We need to know with certainty in our own hearts that we have done right when we are accused, knowing that being accused is not a sin, as long as that accusation is false.
Let us not ever let the evil words about us be true, instead we should follow after righteousness and let the evil say what they will.
