Psalm 44:1 “We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.”
There are so many wonderful things to be gained by remembering God’s blessings.
This remembrance can renew our faith in Him, increase our understanding of His character, and serve as a terrific witness to the lost.
By it, we can renew our thankfulness, truly praise Him, and remind ourselves where our strength lies.
Let us not simply be mindful of the Lord’s work ourselves, but rather share it with others and repeat it time and again with our lips.
It is in times of weakness that we need to hear of God’s strength the most, so let us not be afraid to ask elder brothers and sisters how God has built them up in trouble.
If Christians were to go about hearing and speaking the great works of God, we could not only encourage one another, but also maintain a strong witness to our communities.
Speaking and hearing of the Lord’s work is a vital, but too often neglected, useful-blessing of the Christian life.
