Genesis 24:58 “And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.”
The last three words of the verse are important for every Christian to learn. A willingness to “go” for God should characterize our lives. “I will go” is not merely the response of a believer called to missions or full-time ministry. God may ask of us some big things in the future, but He will start with the small.
Let us say yes to Him in the little things and we will be well on our way to obedience in bigger things (perhaps) in the future. Rebekah’s response suggests that she had already developed a habit of saying yes to the Master in the small things. She was only ready to take this great leap of faith, because she had made dozens (perhaps hundreds) of smaller leaps in the past.
Let us begin with making one tiny decision to go for Christ in the next twenty four hours. Perhaps it should be something we have resisted in the past. Then we must set our goals higher in the next twenty four.
