Acts 17:2-3 “And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.”
Ministry is difficult work. The mind and spirit must be fully engaged, for as long as it takes, to get the job done. In this case, Paul spent three sabbath days proclaiming God’s word to the Jews of the synagogue.
While, no doubt, he was an eloquent communicator of Bible truth, he also displayed the proper level of commitment. The results of this three days of engagement were wonderful. Both men and women believed on the Lord and became partners in the ministry.
No doubt these people went out and touched other lives with the message. Perhaps we will never know what, in total, came from these encounters. Let us engage in the work of ministry as well, for any three minute, three day, three week, or three year period God gives us!
